Books for Business Objects Version XI V3

We have just completed writing the new Web Intelligence XI V3 book, which includes sp2 features, such as Input Controls and Query Filters that use data from other queries in the same document. This book will not include a CBT, as we will sell the CBT separately from the book. We are doing this, because it is difficult to support both the CBT and the book in the same package.

The Designer V3 book does include the CBT, but this will be the last book that will ship with a CBT included. We will package the CBT’s separately from the books and make them available through our distributors.

Computer Based Training

Schmidt Ink has provided great Business Objects reference and training material for many years. Our books have been used by thousands of individuals and corporations to learn Business Objects applications. Schmidt Ink has considered creating computer-based training for quite some time, but refused to use the common almost unusable DVD-like format that so many CBT’s use.

Then, one day in early 2007, we finally developed an interface that is new and innovative, which allows students to quickly access topics without having to scan through long periods of unnecessary video. This created a CBT that is very effective as a training tool and a reference application. This dual purpose makes our computer-based training the very best available for Business Objects’ applications.

Schmidt Ink decided to package the CBT with a full edition of a textbook. This allows students to make notes and to study the hardcopy when needed. It also makes all of our CBT’s valuable training manuals that can be used in a classroom environment.
